Stacy graduated from Kellogg Community College with an Associate’s Degree in Applied Science in 1997. She started her career working for a general dentist in Coldwater, Michigan before joining Springcrest Dental Associates in July 1998.
Stacy’s interest in dentistry began as a child when she was going through orthodontic treatment. It was her passion to do something in the medical field so that she could help people. With encouragement from her own dental hygienist, she applied to dental hygiene school and was accepted into the program after high school.
Stacy has been blessed to have a career that allows her to build personal relationships with each of her patients. It is her goal to build confidence by helping them realize the importance of maintaining good dental health and how it directly relates to their overall well being. During Stacy’s time at Springcrest Dental Associates, she has seen many positive changes. She says, “It is exceptionally rewarding to see the transformation in my patients after educating them about oral health care. It is also rewarding to see the excitement on a child’s face after their first visit and when they tell me they can’t wait to come back for their next visit. At Springcrest Dental, we strive to be our best and to do what is best for our patients, making them feel comfortable and important.”
When not working, Stacy enjoys spending time with family and watching her two boys in their extra-curricular activities.
Janet truly enjoys working at Springcrest Dental Associates. After working in retail for many years, she felt it was time for a change and Springcrest has proven to be the best change she could have made. Janet began working for Springcrest Dental in June 2004 and since that time has been able to earn her Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) certificate and her Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license. Janet says, “We are lucky to have an amazing team at Springcrest Dental. I could not ask for a better group of people to work with. We are more than a team; we are a family that truly cares about one another! For many people, the dental office is not their favorite place to visit, so it is my goal to make it a better experience for patients whenever possible. It is very rewarding for me when patients are able to walk away from their appointments feeling good about their time spent with us.”
When not at work, Janet enjoys spending time with her husband, her sons, her grandson, and her friends. She also likes to travel and enjoys scrapbooking and other crafts.
Salyna is a Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) and has been working at Springcrest Dental since July 2015. She has earned two Associate’s Degrees from Lansing Community College – one in general studies (spring 2014) and one in dental hygiene (spring 2015). Salyna continued her studies through Siena Heights University and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Health Studies with a minor in Healthcare Management.
Salyna chose this career path because she wanted to make a difference in the lives of others. She enjoys teaching her patients about their oral health so that they can make educated efforts to be the healthiest they can be…something that hits very close to home for Salyna. “The oral cancer screenings and the head and neck exams given by our team can save lives. This is something that saved the life of my husband. Thyroid cancer had spread to his lymph nodes and down his neck. Luckily, the lump was found early enough, and after two surgeries and radiation, he is now in remission. I look forward to meeting new patients and to building on the relationships that are already formed with our current patients. We are a family here, and we do everything possible to make you feel as though you are a part of that family.”
Salyna and her husband have four children and a dog. All of their children are, or were, actively involved in sports and band. Her son, who has graduated, was a wrestler and football player in high school and her daughter is in band, volleyball, and basketball. Her stepdaughter is in band and swimming and is attending college classes in culinary arts while completing high school and her stepson is in band and basketball and enjoys fishing. Hank, the family dog, is a black Lab and is very much a part of the family. He loves swimming in the lake, playing fetch, and chasing birds. Salyna and her family all enjoy spending time at their family cottage and sitting around the campfire.
Missy started her career as a dental assistant in 1996 and began working with Springcrest Dental in February 2016. Missy says, “It is important to me, and to everyone here at Springcrest, that our patients know they are in a good space – one where they will be treated with respect and compassion. We are all experienced professionals who love providing gentle dental care that improves each of our patients’ lives. I work hand-in-hand with Dr. Rutledge in many aspects of patient care, and I really enjoy relieving our patients’ pain, improving their oral health, and giving them a beautiful smile.”
Missy is a mother to a beautiful daughter and is happily in a relationship with her boyfriend and his two sons. They enjoy spending our time together as a family.
